Commercial Café, Bar & Kitchen

TAFE Queensland’s latest vocational training institute is located at Robina on the Gold Coast, and features a multi-faceted hospitality education hub – This project has been one of our largest hospitality fit-outs to date, and consisted of producing a Café, an alfresco rooftop Bar, a Conference and Banquet Kitchen, as well as multiple Training and Demonstration Kitchens.  For this project, we worked in collaboration with the team at SHAPE and the designers from AEQ Architects to deliver these commercial food-service spaces for Robina TAFE.  This new hands-on learning facility is decked out with a completely sustainable vocational training space, which includes only high-tech and eco-friendly equipment that can keep up with the students, TAFE Queensland noting “sustainability has been considered in all building design and fit-out decisions”.  The training kitchens feature an ergonomic design, which captures the functions and the requirements of the students who will be the primary users occupying the space – Key features include the incorporation of a dedicated cooking demonstration lecture theatre, the inclusion of more than half a dozen Rational combi ovens, as well as an open-plan cooking line and preparation layout, which can cater to a few dozen students at a time.  The various kitchen, café and bar spaces throughout this project are complete with innovative and top-of-the-line commercial food service equipment from an array of suppliers such as Comcater, Williams Refrigeration, Moffat, MEIKO, Middleby, FSM, as well as a number other renowned suppliers.
