T&H were awarded the stainless steel package to fabricate, supply and install the commercial kitchen, canteen and servery spaces throughout the Coles Distribution Centre – The facility is located within the centrally active hub of Redbank. The 66,000sqm facility was designed by SBA Architects and features sustainability as a key building principle; most notably through the implementation of low-energy LED lighting, solar power generation, as well as 180,000L of rainwater storage, leading this facility to operate with a reduced carbon footprint. The open-plan style kitchen, break out space and canteen offers staff at the distribution centre a unique company culture experience, with a dedicated space for rest and refueling. Our team completed this project with quality and precision at the forefront of the installation process. Fluid preparation, cooking, servery, refrigeration and scullery spaces ensured functionality in compact layouts, and in turn promoted circulation throughout these areas. In order to capture the client’s brief in regards to operational flow, industry leading commercial equipment was incorporated into the cook-line, ergonomically improving efficiency within the compact space.
